Hi, I’m Garrett Ford, proud to be the third generation running Ford’s Locker.
Our story is about family, hard work, and a love for good meat — the kind of dedication that’s kept customers coming back for more than 80 years.

How It All Began

Ford’s Locker started in the early 1940s, when my grandfather Garth Ford and his siblings opened a small locker plant in Provo, Utah.
Back then, “locker” was literal — families rented freezer space to store meats and harvests. It was a vital service when home freezers were rare.

Over time, the business grew from simple storage to a full-service meat processor, adding jerky, summer sausage, and eventually pet products.
For a while, there was even a café on site — the Ford-Fielding Café Inc. Locals still talk about the sandwiches and how my dad, Russell Ford, used to help behind the counter.

Passing the Torch

My dad, Russell, took over when he was young and ran Ford’s Locker for decades.
He grew the business while keeping its small-town heart alive.
When I stepped in, I didn’t want to change what made us special — only update how we serve.

Today, we’ve added new lines like raw dog food, premium dog treats, and online ordering, but we’re still the same Ford’s Locker that’s been part of Provo since 1944.

Over the decades, our name has changed — Ford Frozen Food Locker Plant, Ford Locker Plant Inc., and now simply Ford’s Locker — but our commitment to quality has never wavered.
